Some months ago I read about an optimist and a pessimist in an article. The article said something to the effect that an optimist is more easily taken in than a pessimist. It paints an optimist almost like someone who believes everything, blind to everything but their optimism.

I found myself reflecting on it while walking. Optimist and a person of hope. An optimist could be all that, gullible, naïve and blind. It came to me there is another type of optimism, or optimist. It is a person with hope. A person with hope is optimistic but aware and by no means gullible or naïve.
